Cooling & Reflective Dog Bandanas

A cooling bandana works by evaporation: soak it, wring it out, and the water leaving the fabric takes heat with it. It genuinely helps a warm dog. It is not air conditioning, it stops working once it is dry, and it does nothing at all in high humidity, because evaporation is what does the work.

It is also not a substitute for shade, water and not walking a dog in the heat of the day. We would rather sell fewer of these and have that sentence on the page.

Reflective bandanas carry stitched retroreflective tape, which returns light straight back to a car’s headlights. That works on a lit road at night. It does nothing in daylight and nothing where there is no light source, so a dusk walk on an unlit path wants a light, not a bandana.
